FAQ

Good questions

Does Stowdar read my email on someone else's server?

No. Stowdar deploys as your own private copy inside your own Google Cloud, reads through your own Google sign-in, and thinks using your own Anthropic key. Your mail and keys stay in your account, our service only handles your license and usage count, never your email content.

What is STOWDASH?

The app side of Stowdar: the dashboard you open on your phone or desktop. It turns your filed summaries into a project board, a morning briefing, a browsable file view, contacts, reports, and a books view when QuickBooks is connected. It ships with every plan.

Do I need a Claude subscription?

No. Stowdar runs on your own Anthropic API key, which is separate from a Claude.ai subscription and billed only as you use it. You create the key during setup and can set a small monthly spending cap.

What does the AI usage actually cost me?

The Anthropic key bills per use, and for a typical solo mailbox the routine sweeps usually amount to a few dollars a month. You set a hard monthly cap in the Anthropic console during setup, so it can never surprise you.

How does the action board work?

Open items from each summary are pushed to a Google Tasks list, grouped by project. Check one off and the next sweep records it in the Doc; add a task under a project and it flows into that summary. The board and the Doc stay mirrored both ways.

Mac, Windows, or phone?

All of them. Stowdar is a web app you open in any browser, and you can install it as an app on your phone and your desktop. There is nothing to download.

What about Microsoft Outlook?

Stowdar works with Google (Gmail and Drive) today. Microsoft Outlook and OneDrive support is on the roadmap.

Do I need a card, and can I cancel anytime?

The free trial sets up a plan with a card and turns on auto-billing, but you can cancel anytime, even right after you install, straight from your account. Paid plans are month-to-month; cancel whenever you like.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Nothing has to happen: every folder, summary Doc, and task already lives in your own Google Drive and Google account. Cancel and it all just stays where it is, yours. There is no export step because nothing was ever anywhere else.
